Cambridge, Mass. -November 22, 2004 - In recognition of anna william's creativity as New England's original custom handbag store, the Retailers Association of Massachusetts announced, on November 16, anna william as the recipient of the RAMAE award in the category of Creative Concepts.

The Retailers Association selected seven area retailers, including anna william, for their individual and collective contributions to Massachusetts' $90 billion retail industry. This is the seventh annual RAMAE. The awards are recognized in seven categories: Retailer of the Year; Advertising & Promotion; Community Service; Creative Concepts; Display; Rookie of the Year; and Hall of Fame.

anna william is truly a family affair with owners Keek, a veteran set designer in the fabric industry, her two daughters Erin and Rani, and her daughter-in-law Kristen. anna william opened for business in May 2003 in Newburyport and in March 2004 expanded to open its second store in Cambridge. anna william customers create their own handbags, selecting from over 150 fabrics and 18 different styles.

Customers can shop at one of the retail stores, or they may host a party either at home or in an anna william store. In either case, an anna william consultant is on hand to guide customers through the design process.
